There is a legend that says mermaid scales can cure all diseases. You, the seriously ill protagonist Haru recovered miraculously, but you found yourself lost part of the memory. Your best friend is acting a little weird to you, yet you always felt something was missing.
Define
Panacea is a 3rd personal puzzle-solving RPG game with horror elements. The player will control the avatar to explore the map, get clues and restore the full picture of the story. Depending on how complete the characters collect hints in the game, there will be different endings.
Background
Panacea tells a story inspired by contemporary dating culture, in which those who are willing to give will end up being exploited.
People are so craving for love, but they are not sure what love is. And eventually, they seek something else. While ego, arrogance, and jealousy are topics that have always existed in any form of relationship, it is worth questioning whether we are still willing to give in under the risks of being treated wrong.
Ideate
Explore the world:
Players can choose to manipulate either the good character or the bad character to enter the game, which tells the story from both perspectives. The two entrances share the same map, but the narrative sequence and game objectives will be different.
Scavenger Hunt:
In the game, the player needs to maintain action by eating octopus meat. The player has to attack the mermaid until it drops the octopus meat. There is also a chance to chat with the mermaid after attacking the mermaid. After eating octopus meat, it will return to the real world.
Unlock Different Endings:
All clues found in the game will be included in the backpack. Clue fragments can be crafted together in the backpack. Unlock different CG images and endings by collecting the rarity and completeness of props.
